Material integrity
Natural variation is part of the work. We seek depth and movement without imitation, theatrical mottling, or decorative noise.
The studio
South Florida
Craft in service of architecture.
Mazzeo Mineral is an owner-led architectural finishes practice specializing in microcement, Tadelakt, lime plaster, and mineral surfaces. We approach each surface as part of a larger composition—considering proportion, light, texture, transitions, and the way a space is experienced. Based in South Florida, our practice brings together material, craft, and architecture. Collaboration with architects, designers, builders, and experienced specialty trades is central to our approach.
Position
Material should carry the room without asking for attention.
What we value
Restraint is not absence. It is control.
Mineral finishes reward close attention: to proportion, edge, light, sequence, touch, and the way one material meets another. The visible surface is the final record of decisions made much earlier.
Technical discipline
Preparation, compatible assemblies, movement, water management, environmental conditions, curing, and protection remain inseparable from the finish.
Owner attention
Projects are evaluated and led with direct accountability. Scope, expectations, and decisions stay legible throughout the work.
Useful collaboration
Early coordination with designers, builders, suppliers, and adjacent trades prevents expensive ambiguity at the edge of the finish.
Our Approach
The work is better when curiosity is shared.
We believe exceptional work emerges from technical mastery, intellectual generosity, and genuine enjoyment of the collaborative process.
Our approach is rooted in a willingness to explore, to question, and to understand how materials and architectural ideas come together. We bring technical discipline to the work and an openness to the people and perspectives that shape it.
The result is more than a finished surface. It is a considered process, built on trust, discovery, and care for the details.
Serious about the work. Generous with knowledge. Open to discovery. Enjoy the exchange.
